Change the message type from HTML in Outlook(Microsoft) and Mail(Apple)

You can choose to format email as TEXT when you are only concerned with the information and not how it looks (HTML) and still use TLS as secure transport. Plain text excludes remote execution. To change HTML from default in your mail program either search the web or follow these steps:

On Windows:

  • On the File tab, choose Options > Mail.
  • Under Compose messages, in the Compose messages in this format list, click Plain Text.

    Mobile email client:

  • Write plain text message with no fancy colors or fonts or signatures.

    On Thunderbird for Windows:

  • Tools/Settings/HTML Style: uncheck all
  • Sending Format: check Only Plain Text

    On Mac:

  • Choose Mail > Preferences
  • Click Composing, then choose the message format as Plain Text

    Documents to submit to Area Insurance must be local to your device, please do not send cloud url

    Please use plain text email only (Content-Type: text/plain). Do not send HTML email (even multipart/alternative with an HTML part likely be delayed or not reach us)
